We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with proven expertise in ride-hailing applications and surcharge (dynamic pricing) systems .

Role Overview

The Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services for our ride-sharing platform. The candidate must have direct experience in implementing dynamic pricing / surcharge models to ensure fair and optimized fares during peak demand periods. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams including mobile developers, product managers, and data analysts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend architecture for a ride-hailing ecosystem (rider, driver, and admin modules).
• Design and implement dynamic pricing / surcharge algorithms based on supply-demand, geo-location, and time-based factors.
• Build secure and scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs for mobile applications.
• Manage real-time ride matching, fare calculation, trip tracking, and payment integration .
• Work with geolocation and mapping services (Google Maps, Mapbox, etc.) to improve routing accuracy.
• Ensure backend performance with low latency, high throughput, and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate with data teams to analyze user behavior and fine-tune pricing models.
• Conduct code reviews, optimize queries, and ensure best practices in system design.
• Maintain security and compliance standards for user data and financial transactions.
• Participate in deployment processes using CI / CD pipelines and cloud services.
