We are looking for a Cloud Cost Optimization Engineer with deep expertise in cloud financial operations (FinOps), cost modeling, automation, and AI-enhanced optimization. You will work closely with engineering, cloud operations, SRE, governance, and finance teams to improve cloud cost efficiency, forecast spending, and build automated workflows that ensure sustainable scaling across AWS and Azure.

Years of Experience : 6 - 8 years

Location : Remote

Key Skills

Primary Skills : AWS (advanced certifications), Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm charts and Python scripting

Secondary Skills : Cost Optimization & Dashboard Creation / Observability Tools

Certification : Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Kubernetes) preferred

Key Responsibilities

Cost Analysis & Optimization

• Lead comprehensive cost optimization of AWS and Azure cloud services and infrastructure
• Analyze AWS and Azure billing data, usage data from asset inventory and monitoring utilization data to assess engineering teams' cloud consumption, identify wasteful spend, and provide actionable insights to optimize spend
• Perform financial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in spending and financial performance
• Conduct deep-dive investigations of cost overruns and optimization opportunities through data-driven analysis
• Develop and maintain cost optimization strategies, roadmaps, and forecasting models
