Description GSPANN is hiring a DDI Infoblox Engineer with expertise in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM using Infoblox. The role involves managing Infoblox NIOS, Grid Master, HA Pairs, and core networking elements.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) services using Infoblox appliances, including Grid Masters and Members.
- Configure and manage authoritative and recursive Domain Name System (DNS) zones, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) scopes, IP address reservations, and IP Address Management (IPAM).
- Administer the Infoblox Network Identity Operating System (NIOS) platform, including upgrades, high-availability (HA) configurations, and patch deployment.
- Automate IP address provisioning and decommissioning tasks to streamline network operations.
- Apply secure configurations for DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC), Anycast routing, and Transaction Signature (TSIG) settings to ensure compliance.
- Integrate Infoblox with Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP failover setups, and third-party DNS platforms.
- Troubleshoot DDI-related issues, including name resolution errors, DHCP lease conflicts, and replication failures.
- Implement organizational IPAM policies and monitor IP address utilization across the network.
- Support project rollouts and automation efforts by collaborating with network, cloud, and cybersecurity teams.
- Monitor system logs and alerts, analyze performance trends, and generate capacity planning and audit reports.
- Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), network topology diagrams, and detailed configuration documentation.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.At least 4 years of hands-on experience, including at least 2 years specifically working with Infoblox technologies.Demonstrate strong knowledge in Domain Name System (DNS) including authoritative, recursive, forwarding, and reverse zones; Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) with failover setups, reservations, and relay agents; and IP Address Management (IPAM).Work confidently with Infoblox NIOS, Grid Masters, HA pairs, and cloud-integrated IPAM environments.Understand core networking concepts such as subnets, routing, Network Address Translation (NAT), Virtual LANs (VLANs), and firewalls.Manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) within the Infoblox platform.Utilize Infoblox RESTful APIs for automation and integration tasks.Gain exposure to public cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Route 53, Microsoft Azure DNS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud DNS.Apply ITIL-aligned practices, including change management and incident response.Understand and support compliance with security standards such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
