DAG is seeking a knowledgeable and personable Art Advisor to join their team. The Art Advisor will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through the art buying process, providing expert advice on art selection, and fostering long-term relationships with collectors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the art market, excellent communication skills, and a passion for connecting people with art.

DAG was established in 1993 and is now the world's largest and best-known commercial gallery selling and curating exhibitions of Indian and South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art. DAG showcases the breadth and quality of 20th Century art from this region, covering all the main styles and themes of artistic endeavor in painting, sculpture, drawings, watercolors and lithographs. DAG participates in national and international art fairs including Art Dubai, Art Basel Hong Kong, Art Stage Singapore, Masterpiece London and the India Art Fair, New Delhi. 1. The vetting process for this role comprises 2-3 rounds of interviews and may be followed by a brief assignment.
2. The Art X Company is hiring for this role on behalf of DAG.
3. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Delhi.
4. Salary band for this role is available upon request.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts such as Fine Arts or Art History
5-8 years’ experience in an art gallery or related sales role
Must have a strong understanding of Indian modern art
Excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with clients
Fluency in English essential, other languages an advantage
Be flexible with working hours if / when required

Requirements
Essential Qualifications : MA History of Art or MA Museology, Conservation of Art / Heritage, BFA / MFA, or MSc. In Chemistry from a recognised University Strong communication skills, with written and verbal proficiency in English Knowledge of at least one vernacular Indian language is ideal Competency in using IT systems, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint Essential Experience : 3-5 years of experience, ideally with an art gallery, museum or a private art collection Prior experience working with mixed media, managing physical artworks Prior experience working for a structured company Key Personal Attributes & Skills : Creative individual with drive, sincerity and ability to work efficiently and accurately according to instruction Ability to collaborate and work with a team to achieve common goals Highly organised and detail-oriented with good observation skills Values of adaptability and sincerity are critical A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills Conscientious attitude with the ability to handle precious objects with care Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
