Accounting Manager

The Global Finance Team is in search of an experienced Accounting Manager ! This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end GL operations, lead a talented team, and play a key part in scaling our Shared Services function.

Responsibilities :

Lead day-to-day general ledger operations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close across multiple entities.

Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and related close activities under US GAAP.

Maintain strong process controls, documentation, and compliance with accounting policies, SOX requirements, and audit expectations.

Standardize and improve GL processes, identify gaps, and support automation and system enhancements (primarily in NetSuite).

Review variance analyses, challenge unusual movements, and ensure issues are resolved promptly.

Coordinate closely with AP, FP&A, Payroll, Tax, Treasury, and regional finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Act as the primary escalation point for GL issues and ensure timely resolution of operational bottlenecks.

Manage, coach, and develop the GL team, including workload planning, performance reviews, and cross-training.

Support hiring, onboarding, and capability building within the Shared Services GL team.

Prepare and support audit deliverables and ensure timely closure of open items.

Assist the Accounting Director with reporting, close metrics, new initiatives, and scaling Shared Services operations.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Chartered Accountant.

7–9 years of progressive experience in accounting or shared services, including 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and end-to-end month-end close processes.

Hands-on experience with NetSuite (preferred) or similar ERP systems.

Advanced Excel and Tableau skills.

Ability to critically review work, identify inaccuracies, and challenge incomplete explanations.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to perform under pressure during fast close cycles.

Preferred

Experience in a global shared services environment.

Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency operations.

Experience supporting US-based or international audit cycles.

Big 4 experience of 2-3 years
