Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Legal Manager with strong expertise in corporate and commercial law, litigation management, and intellectual property rights (IPR). The candidate will be responsible for managing all legal and compliance functions, ensuring statutory adherence, and protecting the company's legal interests across operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Legal Compliance & Governance :
- Maintain statutory and governmental registrations, filings, and licenses for company operations in the designated territory.
- Ensure timely compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the single point of contact for licensing and compliance matters.
IPR Management :
Administer and oversee intellectual property rights (trademarks, patents, etc.) and manage IP protection strategies.Initiate and manage actions against IPR infringement.Litigation Management :
Manage all litigations including filing, monitoring, and tracking case progress.Handle Recovery Litigations under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act , Legal Metrology Act , and Consumer Protection Act .Coordinate with lawyers, prepare case documents, and represent the company before courts, tribunals, and forums.Ensure accurate and timely updates on all cases in the Management Information System (MIS) .Legal Documentation & Advisory :
Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements to safeguard company interests.Prepare replies to legal correspondences and notices received.Liaise with external counsel and provide necessary documentation with support from internal departments.Maintain detailed case files, synopses, and documentation for every legal proceeding.Risk Management & Legal Strategy :
Identify potential legal risks and provide actionable mitigation strategies.Support internal audits and compliance checks to ensure regulatory adherence.Represent the company before various judicial, quasi-judicial, and regulatory bodies.Other Responsibilities :
Keep the management informed on case developments and legal risks.Take precautionary measures to protect the organization's interests.Perform any additional legal duties assigned from time to time.Skills Required
