Get to know the Team

At Grab, our Strategic Finance team drives our financial strategy to ensure sustainable profitable growth. We partner with different departments to provide senior management with both operational and financial analysis, strategic planning, and decision support, ensuring that Grab continues to expand.

Get to know the Role

Reporting to our Head of Commercial Operations & PMO, Strategic Finance, you will drive cost management, reporting, business partnering, and strategic decision-making. You will have finance background, excellent technical skills, and ability to collaborate across several teams.

This is an onsite role and our office is based in Bangalore, India.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

Strategic Finance (Core Focus)

  • Drive forecasting processes and conduct P&L and balance sheet variance analysis
  • Provide cost center reporting and develop financial dashboards to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with business teams to ensure consistency in reporting methodologies

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting, manage invoice reviews, and approve payment requests
  • Reconcile key GLs and support month-end close processes

    • Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Track cash flow movements and prepare weekly cash position updates
  • Coordinate with banks for remittances and wire payments

    • Statutory Compliance & Tax Filings

  • Ensure timely payments for statutory obligations (GST, TDS, Advance Tax, etc.)
  • Coordinate with external consultants on tax filings and returns

    • Audit & Regulatory Reporting

  • Support preparation of local financial statements and liaise with auditors
  • Ensure timely MCA filings and corporate income tax return submissions

    • Tax Litigation & Ad-Hoc Projects

  • Monitor ongoing tax assessments and support consultants in preparing responses
  • Coordinate with the tax team for transfer pricing documentation and audit approvals

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor&aposs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA / CMA / CPA preferred with 5+ years of experience in Strategic Finance and financial controllership roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting standards, and tax regulations, with solid analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Oracle ERP, Concur, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
