We are inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager Payments
The Accounts Payable team is part of the Finance Operations pillar which is responsible for executing day-to-day operations (sourcing procurement accounts payable payroll general ledger accounting and financial reporting) for our clients. We protect and lead all aspects of corporate assets by establishing a control framework and audit environment and ensure those frameworks are implemented and followed.
The Assistant Manager of Payments will coordinate and perform the Payment process and outcomes. Hold high standards and ensuring that they are setup for success and have / learn the requisite skills and abilities to do their jobs well. Design propose and implement improvements and or streamline our processes and procedures independently and by collaborating with members of the firm and clients. The Assistant Manager of Payments will be passionate about supplying to growth and change as this is a fast paced environment that is a consistently growing and changing business requiring evolution and build out of our systems and processes to accommodate increased payables demand.
Responsibilities
Payment Operations
Responsibility for the weekly monthly quarterly and annual reporting cycles for the payments which include performing overseeing and reporting.
Quality assurance : Continuous review of all financial and operational outputs ensuring that adequate controls and processes are employed assumptions and reviews are documented and procedures are up-to-date and relevant.
Accounts payable Function shall report to the Finance Accountant. Accounts Payable executive to be responsible for processing all payments and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate efficient and timely manner
Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying classifying and recording accounts payable data
Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly paid.
Verify and investigate discrepancies if any by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
Understand expense accounts and cost centres
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
Communication
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer service mentality is a must
Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and ownership mentality displays a willingness to challenge the status quo leading to the creation and implementation of excellent processes.
Support finance leadership with ad hoc analysis and reporting needs.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications
MBA Finance (with as Graduation)
Bachelors degree in finance Accounting or related field
Rich experience in Accounts Payable(Payments)
Hands on experience with AP ERPs like SAP Oracle etc
Hands on experience with AP workflow tools and Concur
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Preferred qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with industry regulations related to Payments.
In-depth knowledge of accounting best practices and their integration within required systems.
Hands-on experience in navigating complex Payment scenarios.
Interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
Computer savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
