About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Windows and Linux / Unix system administration combined with Oracle database management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong DevOps background and extensive experience working within cloud environments, particularly AWS.

This role focuses on ensuring the availability, scalability, and security of our enterprise infrastructure supporting critical business applications and platforms.

You will work collaboratively with offshore and onshore Agile teams to architect, deploy, and maintain robust infrastructure, automate processes, and optimize system performance to meet the growing demands of our organization.

Key Responsibilities :

Install, configure, and manage Windows Server and Linux / Unix operating systems in an offshore / onshore environment, ensuring stability and security.
Oversee Oracle database environments, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and regular maintenance tasks.
Support deployment of in-house and custom applications, ensuring high availability and adherence to SLAs.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in collaboration with Agile teams and third-party vendors.
Design, implement, and maintain CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent tools to streamline software releases and infrastructure updates.
Employ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible to provision, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure and on-premises resources.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, PowerShell, or other scripting languages to improve operational efficiency.
Manage AWS cloud resources including EC2 instances, S3 storage, IAM roles and policies, VPC setup, and security groups to maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure.
Monitor cloud and on-premises systems for health, availability, and performance using relevant tools and dashboards.
Plan and execute OS and application patching, software upgrades, and release deployments following change management processes.
Implement and enforce OS-level security policies, system hardening standards, and compliance requirements to safeguard infrastructure.
Perform regular backups, restorations, and disaster recovery drills to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
Liaise with third-party vendors for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of software components and hardware infrastructure.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance platform capabilities and operational efficiency.

Mandatory Skills & Experience :

Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in Windows Server and Linux / Unix administration in enterprise environments.

Strong knowledge and operational experience with Oracle databases, including performance monitoring, tuning, backup, and recovery.

Proven experience with DevOps practices, including building and managing CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) for automated provisioning and configuration management.

Proficient scripting skills in Shell, PowerShell, or equivalent for automation tasks.

Practical experience with Docker containerization and orchestration of containerized applications.

Hands-on experience managing AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, security groups, and monitoring tools.

Solid understanding of OS security policies, compliance frameworks, and system hardening best practices
