Manager / Senior Manager – Sales (Industrial Products / Equipment )

Location : Kolkata

Area of Operation : Eastern India

Experience : 10–14 years

CTC : As per industry standards

Job Summary :

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial sales, particularly in the Steel sectors. The role involves managing the entire sales cycle — from lead generation to order execution — and ensuring smooth coordination across all stages of business development and client management.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and expand the customer base within the assigned region (Eastern India).
  • Generate new business leads and convert them into successful sales orders.
  • Manage end-to-end sales activities including technical discussions, proposal submission, negotiations, and order finalization.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and key decision-makers in the Steel industry.
  • Coordinate internally with technical, commercial, and service teams to ensure timely order execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s growth in the region.

Desired Candidate Profile :

  • Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or any equivalent technical qualification.
  • MBA in Sales / Marketing will be an added advantage.
  • 10–14 years of proven experience in Industrial Product Sales, preferably dealing with high-value capital equipment & spares
  • Strong customer network and experience in catering to major steel plants and allied industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Eastern India.
