Job Description
Site Supervision & Support :
- Assist the Senior Civil Engineer and Site Project Manager in executing day-to-day civil construction activities.
- Monitor work progress on-site and ensure adherence to design specifications and timelines.
- Oversee specific work packages such as excavation, concreting, shuttering, reinforcement, and masonry.
Quality Control & Safety Monitoring :
Check material quality, workmanship, and alignment with engineering drawings.Conduct basic quality checks and testing (e.g., cube tests, slump tests) under supervision.Report any deviations from quality or safety standards to the site management team.Technical Documentation & Reporting :
Maintain daily site reports, labor deployment records, and material consumption logs.Update project progress sheets and assist in drafting site inspection reports.Support in measurement verification and preparation of bills as per work executed.Coordination :
Liaise with EPC contractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth execution of assigned tasks.Coordinate with the university’s internal teams for resolving minor technical queries and clarifications.Compliance & Standards :
Ensure that site activities follow local building codes, environmental guidelines, and health and safety regulations.Learn and apply university infrastructure standards and protocols.Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute.0 to 3 years of relevant site experience in building construction or infrastructure development.Internship or exposure to institutional, commercial, or residential construction projects is an advantage.Skills & Competencies :
Basic knowledge of construction techniques, civil engineering materials, and structural components.Familiarity with engineering drawings, BOQs, and site documentation.Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD (basic).Good verbal and written communication skills.Willingness to work in field conditions and adapt to a dynamic project environment.The list is an indicative not exhaustive.
