General Summary :

The Enterprise Data Specialist’s (EDS) primary function at CommScope is to create and maintain product data and business operations data in CommScope’s Enterprise business system (SAP CS1), including data entry and data maintenance.

Product data-sets include SAP Material Masters, Bill-of-Materials, Engineering Change Masters, material revisions, product documents (e.g. manufacturing drawings, customer drawings, process sheets, specifications, etc.), product costing, purchasing records, sales views, etc.

The role also requires coordinating engineering change requests, which drive the activity to create and change the data mentioned above. The role involves Engineering Change Administration (ECA) work activities.

The EDS Function supports the following :

• New Product Release – Release of new product development, product extensions and Configurable material numbers.
• Product Change – Change to existing products resulting from Mfg request, product cost reduction, design changes, etc.

Coordinate ‘deactivate and replace with’ change activity.
