Job Title : Curriculum Developer – Global Language Exam Preparation

Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Curriculum Developer to design and develop comprehensive, engaging, and effective language training courses specifically tailored for Indian students preparing for global English proficiency exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, CELPIP, and others. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in curriculum design and content development, with a deep understanding of the unique linguistic challenges faced by Indian learners. This role involves creating exam-aligned course frameworks, instructional materials, and practice resources that enable learners to achieve their desired scores.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Curriculum Design : Develop detailed, modular, and learner-friendly curricula tailored to the needs of Indian students preparing for global language exams, aligned with the latest exam formats and scoring criteria.
  • Content Development : Create high-quality, relevant, and culturally appropriate instructional content including lesson plans, practice exercises, mock tests, study guides, and multimedia materials covering all language skills – reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
  • Exam Alignment : Ensure all content and course design strictly adhere to the specific requirements and standards of global exams like IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc.
  • Customization for Indian Learners : Incorporate strategies to address common language difficulties faced by Indian students, such as pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary usage.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with language trainers, subject matter experts, and academic teams to continuously refine content and ensure effective delivery.
  • Quality Assurance : Maintain high standards of accuracy, clarity, and engagement in all materials produced; update content regularly based on exam updates and learner feedback.
  • Assessment Design : Develop formative and summative assessment tools that help track learner progress and readiness for exams.
  • Research & Development : Stay updated on the latest exam trends, pedagogical practices, and technology tools to innovate and improve curriculum design.
  • Training Support : Provide guidance and training to language trainers on curriculum usage and best instructional practices.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master’s or PhD degree in English, Linguistics, Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, TEFL, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Additional certification or training in curriculum design, instructional design, or assessment development is an advantage.
  • Prior experience or training related to global exam preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, CELPIP) is highly desirable.

    • Key Requirements :

  • Experience : Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in curriculum development, academic content creation, or related roles, ideally with a focus on global English exam preparation.
  • Language Expertise : Strong command of English language and knowledge of linguistic challenges unique to Indian learners.
  • Exam Knowledge : In-depth understanding of global language proficiency exams (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc.), including formats, scoring, and preparation strategies.
  • Instructional Design Skills : Proven ability to develop clear, engaging, and pedagogically sound curriculum and content.
  • Cultural Sensitivity : Awareness of Indian learners’ backgrounds and learning preferences to ensure content relevance and accessibility.
  • Collaboration & Communication : Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with trainers, academic leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Linguistics, Education, TESOL, or related field preferred.
  • Certifications : Relevant certifications in language teaching or curriculum development (CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, TEFL) are a plus.
  • Tech Savvy : Familiarity with eLearning tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and multimedia content creation is desirable.
