About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer - Networking Domain (L2 / L3) to join our team at WeRoute Systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in advanced networking technologies, Arista equipment, and hands-on troubleshooting at the packet level. This role involves supporting enterprise-level network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues at the packet capture level.
- Work on Spine-Leaf Architectures (L2LS / L3LS) including MLAG, VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, OSPF.
- Monitor, configure, and manage Arista switches and equipment.
- Perform upgrades, patches, and vulnerability fixes on network devices.
- Deploy, optimize, and validate new Arista network solutions.
- Collaborate with Arista TAC for escalations and advanced Automate network operations using Arista APIs / Python scripting.
- Conduct network audits, performance analysis, and implement best practices.
- Provide L2 / L3 technical support and escalate issues as required.
Requirements :
5+ years of overall networking experience with at least 3 years in TAC / network operations.Strong expertise in L2 / L3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, MLAG).Hands-on experience with Arista switches is a strong plus.Solid understanding of Spine-Leaf architecture and data center networking.Experience with network automation using APIs and scripting (Python preferred).Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong communication (written & verbal) and client-facing skills.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with business & technical teams.Why Join Us ?
