Job Description :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, GST, TDS, and TCS, with proven experience in managing accounts, preferably in the trading or retail industries.
Experience Required : 5+ Years
Salary : Up to 50K per month
Location - Chennai
Requirements :
- Proven experience & working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other accounting terms
- Good command over MS-Excel and MS-Word
- Good understanding of accounting principles
- Basic knowledge of banking, E-way bills, and similar work
- Ability to keep documents and data well-organised
Responsibilities include :
Recording and maintaining day-to-day business transactions (sales, purchases, payments, receipts, purchase orders, etc.) and collecting payments from customers and dealersUnderstanding the financial books, looking at optimizing the books for tax efficiency and suggesting methods to bring down tax liabilityMaintaining books of accounts till finalization and coordinating with AuditorsFinalization and computation of income tax.Keeping bank accounts up to dateMaintaining all financial records and filesRecording and tracking expensesPreparing and filing GST, TDS / TCS returnsSubmitting weekly / monthly reportsEnsuring that order processing is kept under tight control, keeping in mind the overdue, payment history of dealer / customer and ensuring overall payment security for the company.Monitoring and accurately maintaining all stock across all locations of the company.Ensuring that frequent stock checks are taken and that all sold, demo, and in-stock goods are fully accounted for at all timesUpdating accounts payable and receivableFamiliar with all compliance and annual returnsAccurately maintaining records in all software platforms that the company uses (Eg : Entire Zoho platform), filling these with utmost accuracy and professional formattingQualifications :
Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate, BBA / MBA degree in finance or accountingMinimum 5 years of experience in finance, preferably in trading or retail industriesStrong understanding of GST, TDS, TCS regulations and complianceZoho knowledge will be an advantageStrong attention to detail, organizational skills and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesExcellent communication, spoken and written, with all stakeholders (team members, customers, dealers, and principles)Excellent interpersonal skills
