Sr. Thermal Design Engineer

Job Requirements

6 to 12 years experience of working in Upstream Oil and Gas for Exploration and Production (E&P) assets. He / She must have worked with Onshore / Offshore / Oil / LNG.

• Perform thermal-hydraulic design calculations and analysis for new and existing heat exchangers.
• Review mechanical designs of heat exchangers to ensure compliance with standards and operational requirements.
• Troubleshoot performance and leakage issues in heat exchangers and recommend effective solutions.
• Monitor heat exchanger performance, identify issues, and propose corrective actions.
• Review and evaluate vendor design packages for compliance and quality.
• Design reboilers and condensers for various process applications.
• Apply working knowledge of mechanical design principles for pressure vessels.
• Carry out Process Simulations, calculations and develop Heat & Mass Balance as required.
• Expert in process simulation tools like Pro-II, Aspen, HTRI, FLARENET, etc.
• Proven skills in routine process calculations [Blowdown / Depressurization(MDMT) studies, Heat dissipation study, Thermal design of Heat exchanger, Compressor / Pipeline surge analysis, Line & Equipment sizing]
• Should have strong communication skills.
• Estimate efforts, timelines and dependencies to solve the problem.
• Build / Update the model for analysis (including various scenarios, boundary conditions and acceptance criteria)
• Review results and make recommendations
