Role Overview :
We are looking for a skilled and proactive L2 Azure Cloud Engineer to join our IT team.
The candidate will provide intermediate-level technical support for Azure Cloud environments, servers, and operating systems.
This role involves troubleshooting escalated issues from L1 teams, assisting in cloud implementation and maintenance, and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure for reliability, performance, and security.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, server administration, and virtualization, with the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver robust cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Incident Management and Troubleshooting :
- Handle escalated issues from L1 support and provide timely resolutions.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting for Azure resources, servers, and storage systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
System Maintenance And Monitoring :
Monitor Azure and on-premises systems using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar platforms.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, firmware updates, and system backups.Ensure systems and cloud environments operate securely and optimally.Configuration And Deployment :
Provision, configure, and optimize Microsoft Azure cloud resources.Design and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Azure.Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using cloud-native tools for automated deployments.Implement user access controls, group policies, and security configurations according to organizational standards.Support system upgrades and migrations in collaboration with L3 engineers.Documentation And Reporting :
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and changes for management review.Collaboration :
Work closely with L3 engineers to escalate complex issues and implement advanced solutions.Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware and cloud support.Experience :
Qualifications and Skills :
6 to 10 years in system engineering, cloud administration, or IT support roles.Technical Skills :
Administration and management of Microsoft Azure environments, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, governance, and security.Design and implementation of highly available, multi-region Azure solutions.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools.Strong understanding of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.Familiarity with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira).Certifications (Preferred) :
Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent.ITIL Foundation Certification.Soft Skills :
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments and rotational shifts.(ref : hirist.tech)
