Responsibilities :
- Review Individual tax returns
- Oversee the calculation and analysis of proprietary tax strategies for clients
- Develop relationships with staff
- Ensure that Seniors and Staff are up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
- Provide both leadership and supervision to Tax Seniorsand Staff
- Attentive participation in US Tax training modulesand on the job trainings.
- Able to prepare a simple, straight-forward Business or Individual Income Tax Return.
- Preparation of form 1040 federal tax return and state tax returns
- Thorough review of document and application of any changes in tax rates, tax laws for US tax return preparation
- Ability to identify any technical issues on the engagements and bring it to the notice of the lead to reach the desired resolution
- Able to transfer the income and expenses, and assets and liabilities into a tax return format, to ensure that the Book-To-Tax Reconciliation is properly prepared and in balance.
- Able to successfully navigateTax Technology used for tax returns.
- Preparation of US (Federal / State) Individual tax returns(Form 1040, etc).
- Preparation of US International compliance tax forms.
- Validate data and analysisfor accuracy and relevance.
- Utilize availabletax technical resourcesto enhance US tax knowledge.
Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in US Individual, Private Wealth, and Forms 1040,Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification (or in the process if pursuing). – Not mandatoryBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or another business-related field.Prior Big 4 experience or equivalent Experience.Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.Experience with managing projects / clients including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence and excellent technology and research skills.Software skills – like CCH and Ultra tax would be a plus.Skills Required
US Tax training, Tax Technology, Ultra tax, CCH
