Key Responsibilities :
Tool Design & Development
- Design and develop tools, jigs, fixtures, molds, and dies based on product requirements and manufacturing processes.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, or Creo .
- Collaborate with production, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure tool designs meet functionality and quality standards.
Process Improvement & Optimization
Analyze existing tools and propose improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve product quality.Support prototyping and testing of tools and troubleshoot design-related issues during production.Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, BOMs, and process workflows.Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, safety guidelines, and company procedures.Cross-functional Coordination
Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and external tool manufacturers during design finalization and production.Provide technical support during tool manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning phases.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fieldCertification or training in CAD software and tool design is preferredExperience :
2–7 years of experience in tool design, preferably in automotive, heavy engineering, or manufacturing industriesHands-on experience with CAD tools and familiarity with manufacturing processesKey Skills :
Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drafting software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, Creo)Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materialsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlinesGood communication and teamwork abilitiesSkills Required
