Job description

Role : Loan Servicing Quality Control Analyst

Location : Chennai

Work Mode : Work from Office

Work Hours : USA Pacific Time

Department : Mortgage Servicing Systems

Function :

The Loan Servicing Quality Control Analyst will follow established processes, procedures, check lists, and other related job aids to perform quality control reviews and remediate data defects on 100% of our daily new loan boarding files within a specific time, usually within one business day.

Shift times will align with Pacific Time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

The analyst will be trained to identify data errors by comparing the loan boarding file data with specific data fields and origination document images located within Encompass Loan Origination System. Training material, including system screen prints and document examples will be provided.

Analysts will be trained by client management to correct errors by editing data fields within the Encompass system or by directly editing the loan boarding file as needed to ensure every loan boards into the ICE MSP Servicing system on time, with no defects.

Associates will also be trained to conduct post boarding QC reviews on 100% of newly boarded loans within the MSP system to determine our post boarding defect rate.

Associates will be trained to provide defect reporting according to provided instructions so that client management can work with internal systems teams to identify and correct the root cause of loan boarding file data errors.

Additional tasks and functions, similar in complexity but related to the loan boarding process, may be required as determined by management along with necessary training, SLAs, and tools to complete them.

Performance Expectations :

  • Effectively communicate with client associates via phone, video conference, and email communication.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills, the ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and accuracy / timeliness in completing tasks.
  • Perform all actions in accordance with training, job aids, check lists, and policies and procedures provided by management.
  • Demonstrate excellent productivity, timeliness, and accuracy standards.
  • Effectively use software specific to the position including Zoom, Teams, ICE MSP, ICE Encompass, and Microsoft office products.
  • Collaborate well with other members of the EHL team.

Specific Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Required for Position :

  • Able to work the required business hours as determined by management.
  • Understand basic mortgage loan boarding business processes.
  • Understand basic quality control / assurance concepts and best practices regarding consumer and financial product data systems.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language is required.
  • 12th grade, Junior college or Pre-university college degree or diploma required.
  • Undergraduate degree from a university is preferred but not required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in data entry, accounting, quality assurance, or auditing role
  • Entry level Knowledge of ICE Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP) and ICE Encompass Loan Origination Systems preferred but not required.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, data analysis, and follow-up skills.
  • High comfort level with managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong follow-through to completion on assigned tasks and project work.
  • Initiative and ability to create relationships of trust with business units, administrative and support staff.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in meeting deadlines, problem solving and communicating with colleagues in other business units.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to summarize and present information.
  • High comfort level in participating in meetings via phone, and video conferencing.
  • Exercise good judgment and strong character, motivated, hard working.
  • Ability to collaborate well with fellow associates, clients, and vendors.
