Part-Time Payroll Specialist – U.S. Payroll (Remote, India)
About the Role :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist / Onboarding / HR _ US Staffing to manage end-to-end U.S. payroll operations for a growing startup. This is a part-time remote role , ideal for professionals seeking additional work alongside their current job.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding of W2 contingent workers.
Prepare, send, and track all hiring and compliance paperwork .
Coordinate with background check vendors and follow up on pending reports.
Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule .
Maintain employee records, timesheets, and compliance documents .
Handle I-9 verification and E-Verify submissions .
Collaborate with U.S.-based teams for updates, issue resolution, and communication .
Support audit and reporting requirements for contingent workforce.
Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy at all times.
Top Skills Required
U.S. Staffing experience is a must.
Handling onboarding and offboarding for W2 contingent workers .
Sending and collecting hiring and onboarding paperwork .
Coordinating with background check vendors to initiate and track reports.
Managing I-9 and E-Verify compliance.
Processing payrolls accurately and on time.
Maintaining worker records and documentation .
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Experience using ATS / VMS tools (Fieldglass, Beeline, Coupa) is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
