About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and technically adept Scrum Master to lead Agile software development teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile best practices, and the ability to work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead Agile ceremonies : daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Drive sprint execution and delivery, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, managers, directors, SMEs, and lead engineers to refine and prioritize the backlog.
- Guide estimation, capacity planning, and technical grooming using Agile frameworks.
- Remove impediments and resolve cross-functional blockers.
- Conduct root cause analysis and promote continuous improvement.
- Maintain transparency through Jira and Confluence dashboards and reports.
- Track team metrics (velocity, burndown, throughput) and use insights to optimize performance.
- Ensure alignment with product goals, technical strategy, and architectural guidelines.
- Foster collaboration across engineering, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams.
- Support team maturity by coaching Agile principles, promoting self-organization, and encouraging innovation.
- Communicate status, dependencies, and risks effectively to senior stakeholders.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of SDLC, microservices, CI / CD, and cloud environments (AWS / GCP / Azure).Proficient in Agile tools (Jira, Confluence) and experienced in driving Agile metrics.Certified Scrum Master (Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org, or similar is preferred).Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.Comfortable operating in fast-paced, multi-project environments.Experience with test automation and quality-focused deliveryQualifications
B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in software development projects.2+ years of prior technical experience (dev / engineering) is strongly preferred.
