Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sr Microsoft SQL Developer located in Hyderabad. The Sr Microsoft SQL Developer will be responsible for developing and managing SQL databases, designing database solutions. The role also involves data modeling, optimizing database performance, and ensuring data integrity. The developer will work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver analytical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain complex SQL code and scripts for database management and business applications.
  • Design, implement, and optimize SQL queries, functions, stored procedures, triggers, and views to enhance performance and functionality.
  • Perform advanced performance tuning and query optimization for large-scale databases to ensure high efficiency and speed.
  • Write and maintain complex joins, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and table-valued functions to support business logic and reporting.
  • Work with indexes, execution plans, and database profiling tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and provide optimized database solutions.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining data models, schemas, and normalization of data across the SQL Server environment.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices for SQL development and performance optimization.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for database-related issues in production and pre-production environments.
  • Implement security measures for database access, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Document database architectures, procedures, and methodologies for consistency across projects.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to SQL Server development and performance optimization.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers in SQL best practices, code writing, and performance tuning.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Microsoft SQL Server development, including SQL, T-SQL, and performance optimization techniques.
  • 5+ years primarily as a MS SQL database developer.
  • In-depth knowledge of writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, including CTEs, joins, functions, and stored procedures.
  • Strong proficiency in performance tuning techniques for high-volume databases.
  • Solid understanding of database design principles, normalization, and optimization.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues using query analysis and execution plans.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
