Position : Engineering Manager – Backend (Publishing, Digital Business)
Purpose : This position is required to provide technology leadership on publishing tools and API services for content discovery at scale that will enable consumer engagement.
Education : . / , MCA or Equivalent Computer Degree
Purpose :
The candidate will direct the development and implementation of publishing platform and services which enables content discovery for end-user. They will be responsible for building and maintaining tools and high performance API services that scale to millions of users. They will play a pivotal role in fostering discussions on the scalability of the platform and will collaborate extensively to chart technical roadmaps, harness industry standards on security, and optimize platform architecture.
Desirable experience : 12+ years of experience in building and scaling complex software systems. Proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Roles & Responsibility
Provide technical leadership and vision for the publishing team in engineering.Oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of high-quality services and tools.Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define roadmaps, translate requirements into technical specifications, and ensure alignment across teams.Lead and mentor a team of engineers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. This includes task delegation, performance management, and fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.Manage the engineering team's workflow and ensure adherence to best practices for software development, including CI / CD pipelines, security audits, and code reviews.Identify and implement technical solutions to complex challenges in publishing.Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry and be a thought leader within the team.Be accountable for the technical health and performance of the platform.Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.Champion DevOps practices to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.Participate in the hiring process for new engineering team members.Critical Competencies :

Familiarity with Python or ReactJS is a plus.Experience with caching architectures (Redis, Memcached) and queues (Amazon SQS, RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka.)Proven ability to leverage CDNs for optimal content delivery and security.Strong understanding of CI / CD pipelines for efficient software development and deployment.
