Role Description

The position of Head of Unit, based in Thrissur, is responsible for overseeing and managing all operations of the unit, including Production, Quality Control & Assurance, Maintenance, Purchase, and HR functions. The role involves supervising cross-functional teams, driving strategic initiatives, and monitoring overall unit performance to ensure operational excellence and compliance with established standards. The Head of Unit will also be responsible for fostering a productive and positive work culture, optimizing resources, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational goals..

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving operational excellence.
• Proven expertise in manufacturing operations, including production planning, process improvement, and resource optimization, escpecially in Food industry.
• Proficiency in strategic planning, organizational development, and ensuring smooth coordination across production, quality, maintenance, purchase, and HR functions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Experience in performance monitoring, regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Sound understanding of Ayurvedic manufacturing processes or similar Food / Pharma production environments will be an added advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Production Management with 10 years of experience
• Prior experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing setup, with demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and adaptability skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
