Mandatory Skills :

  • Android Development : Deep understanding of Android OS internals and architecture.
  • Programming Languages : Proficient in Java , Kotlin , Python , and C++ .
  • Framework Components : Experience with Android Framework services and components.
  • HAL & AOSP : Strong knowledge of Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) and Android Open Source Project (AOSP) .
  • Build Systems : Hands-on experience with Soong build system .
  • Security : Familiarity with SELinux policies and Android security architecture.

Good to Have :

  • Location Technologies : SUPL, A-GNSS, AGPS, OMA SUPL.
  • Telephony & Networking : Android Telephony stack, 3GPP standards.
  • Context Awareness : NLP (Network Location Provider), location-based services.

    • Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain Android Framework components.
  • Collaborate with HAL and Kernel teams to integrate hardware features.
  • Optimize system performance and memory usage.
  • Work on AOSP customization and feature enhancements.
  • Debug and resolve issues across the Android stack.
  • Implement and enforce SELinux policies for secure system behavior.
  • Contribute to location and telephony features, ensuring compliance with standards.
