Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Vertex Tax Integration Specialist with strong experience in SAP environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of Vertex, hands-on integration expertise, and strong problem-solving abilities. This role requires effective communication, stakeholder management, and adaptability to evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vertex Technical Expertise
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience working with Vertex tax systems.
- Experience with SAP FICO and SAP S / 4HANA (strongly preferred).
- Expertise in SAP–Vertex Integration for Sales Tax .
- Ability to read and interpret SIC log files .
- Strong knowledge of tax determination logic , tax codes, and tax reporting processes.
- Experience with data mapping , interfaces, and end-to-end integration flows.
2. Integration Skills
Hands-on experience integrating Vertex with SAP for sales tax processing.Troubleshoot and optimize integration flows between SAP and Vertex systems.3. Problem-Solving & Debugging
Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.Ensure high system reliability and performance.Maintain customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution.4. Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to create clear, concise technical documentation.High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.5. Enhancement & Release Management
Experience managing enhancement requests from initiation through deployment.Coordinate release cycles and ensure successful delivery of updates and integrations.Work closely with cross-functional teams for system improvements.6. Customer Communication & Stakeholder Management
Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into technical requirements.Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Manage expectations with demanding clients and ensure high customer satisfaction.7. Flexibility & Adaptability
Willingness to adjust priorities and work hours based on business needs.Ability to manage urgent support needs and evolving customer requirements.Maintain composure and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field (preferred).Relevant certifications in SAP, Vertex, or tax technology (a plus).Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional and customer-facing environments.Skills Required
