Responsibilities : Claims Management :
- Handle end-to-end processing of marine insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution.
- Assess claims documentation, verify policy coverage, and liaise with clients, surveyors, and underwriters.
- Investigate and analyze loss events, including damage, theft, or delays during transit.
Demurrage & Freight Handling :
Review and process demurrage claims related to cargo detention and shipping delays.Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and clients to ensure proper documentation and claims settlement.Monitor timelines and financial aspects of demurrage claims to prevent revenue leakage.Documentation & Compliance :
Handle import and export documentation related to marine shipments, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies during claims processing.Maintain accurate records of all claims, correspondence, and settlements for auditing and reporting purposes.Client & Stakeholder Coordination :
Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, insurers, and legal teams regarding claims status and requirements.Provide advisory support to clients on marine insurance policies, coverage, and claims procedures.Assist in resolving disputes or escalations related to claims or demurrage charges.Skills Required
