Summary

The AI Globalization (G11N) Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring AI-driven products and services are effectively adapted for global markets. This position involves leading cross-functional teams to handle localization, internationalization, and cultural adaptation of AI technologies, such as machine learning models, natural language processing tools, and AI interfaces. The role focuses on scaling AI initiatives across languages, regions, and cultures while mitigating technical and regulatory challenges. This position requires a blend of project management expertise, AI knowledge, and globalization strategies to deliver high-quality, inclusive AI solutions that support business growth in diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution : Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for AI globalization initiatives, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk assessments. Oversee the adaptation of AI models for multilingual support, ensuring seamless integration with localization tools and translation management systems (TMS).

Stakeholder Collaboration : Lead cross-border teams, including engineers, linguists, product managers, and external vendors, to align on globalization goals. Facilitate regular check-ins with global partners to resolve issues related to cultural nuances, data privacy, and ethical AI deployment.

AI-Specific Globalization : Coordinate the internationalization of AI workflows, such as training data curation for diverse languages, bias mitigation in localization datasets, and integration of AI-powered translation tools. Ensure AI projects adhere to industry standards for quality, scalability, and regulatory requirements in artificial intelligence.

Process Optimization and Innovation : Identify opportunities to leverage AI for efficient localization processes (e.g., automated quality checks or machine translation enhancements). Drive system integrations, CMS migrations, and technical upgrades while monitoring project metrics for continuous improvement.

Risk Management and Reporting : Monitor project progress across time zones, addressing cultural, linguistic, and logistical barriers. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on deliverables, budgets, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with global business objectives.

Team Leadership : Manage diverse teams (onsite / remote) with a focus on inclusion, fostering collaboration in matrixed organizations. Mentor junior staff on AI globalization best practices and agile methodologies.

Required Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, International Business, Project Management, Linguistics, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Experience : 5+ years in project management, with at least 3 years focused on globalization / localization or AI / ML projects. Proven track record leading medium-to-large scale initiatives in a global tech environment, including experience with system-to-system integrations and AI tool deployment.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in project management tools, TMS platforms, and AI frameworks. Familiarity with localization standards, data privacy regulations, and agile / Scrum methodologies.

Soft Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to bridge cultural gaps; excellent problem-solving in fast-paced, multicultural settings. Ability to travel internationally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications : PMP, CSM (Certified Scrum Master), or localization-specific credentials.

Domain Knowledge : Experience in AI ethics, multilingual AI model training, or global supply chain management for tech products.
