Google Cloud Expert

About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Expert to design, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in GCP tools, cloud-native architectures, and modern DevOps practices. You will work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance of our cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design

Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-optimized GCP cloud architectures.

Evaluate and recommend GCP services (e.g., BigQuery, Pub / Sub, GKE, Cloud SQL, Vertex AI) for business use cases.

Build CI / CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.

Cloud Operations

Manage and optimize GCP infrastructure including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Networking.

Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and third-party tools.

Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data backup strategies.

Security & Compliance

Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, VPC Service Controls, and encryption standards.

Ensure compliance with regulations (SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) by leveraging GCP’s security features.

Conduct security reviews and remediate vulnerabilities.

Collaboration

Work with developers, data engineers, and AI / ML teams to build and scale applications on GCP.

Partner with finance teams for cloud cost optimization and budgeting.

Mentor junior engineers on GCP best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise

4+ years of experience with cloud platforms, with at least 3+ years focused on Google Cloud Platform .

Strong knowledge of Compute (GCE, GKE), Storage, Networking (VPC, Cloud Interconnect, Load Balancers) , and Security (IAM, KMS, Shielded VMs) .

Proficiency with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub / Sub, Cloud Functions , and modern data / AI services.

Hands-on experience with Terraform / Ansible , CI / CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE) and serverless technologies.

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
