Job Purpose

Managing day to day aspects of indirect taxation, particularly related to Goods and Services Tax (GST). Ideal candidate should have a strong background in GST compliance(preparation and filing of GST returns & reconciliations), refund processes and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

• GST Returns Filing :
• Ensure zero tolerance towards non-compliance of statutory tax requirements
• Timely and accurate tax compliance and reporting obligations for indirect tax
• GST Refund Management :
• GST refund filing & processing of refunds
• Proficiency with MS Office , ERP Systems, GST compliance tools
• Proficiently use Excel for data sanitisation, reporting, and creating insightful presentations.
• Exposure to Excel macros, VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), and Power Query.
• Leverage these tools to enhance tax-related processes.
• Hands-on experience with using major GST compliance tools.
• Utilize Navision ERP system for indirect tax-related tasks.
• Support in the accurate accounting of GST-related entries.
• Reconcile GST accounts and maintain accurate records.
• Internal MIS Preparation :
• Compile and analyze data to create internal Management Information System (MIS) reports.
• Present MIS reports to top management for decision-making.
• Legal Knowledge :
• Stay updated on GST law changes, case laws, and regulatory updates.
• Apply this knowledge to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance on budgetary changes and interim changes in law
• Auditor Coordination :
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting and accounting.
• Provide necessary documentation and explanations during audits.
• Audit Readiness - “GST Health Checks” with periodic reviews to ensure compliance
• Communication and Collaboration :
• Good communicator;
