Description
- Oversee and monitor daily risk and control activities across the SES department.
- Partner with co-VPs and the Head of Securities Services to escalate and resolve risk-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure appropriate control mechanisms are in place during the transition or onboarding of new processes.
- Collaborate with ERT teams to obtain and analyze necessary risk and control reporting.
- Provide daily guidance, support, and leadership to staff to uphold operational and control standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely escalation and reporting of any control breaches or risk issues.
- Other responsibilities include cross -Regulatory reporting, succession planning, Preparation of Management reports and Departmental initiatives, and interfacing with the different departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting within the given timelines.
- VP would also be responsible for other activities like BCM, Audits, Transformation and people related initiatives.

Staff Management
Engage staff in Securities Services / org Initiatives.Facilitate change initiatives within the team.Responsible for conducting regular staff meetings to build a Risk and Control culture in the teamProcess Management
Identifying operational risks proactively and mitigating appropriately.Knowledge of Securities Services Life Cycle will be helpfulWork very closely with the process owners / stakeholders and other internal clients for overall mitigation of risks in the processActing as a central point of contact for all the Risk and Control related Challenges etc.Building and refining controls metrics (benchmarks) by involving team and onsite managementReviewing daily benchmark reports for each of the process lines, investigating benchmark breaches with Global counterparts and working to improve the processYour skills and experience
15 to 20 years’ experience in investment banking operations / Custody Operations / Securities Operations with at least 5-10 years of experience in managing Risk functionsStrong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills.Comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and complex situations.Strong English written & verbal skills required. Ability to converse clearly with internal and external staff via telephone and written communication.Eye for DetailsExperience of running and managing projectsGraduate in Commerce / Finance (Preference – Post Graduate / MBA)Coaching and feedback abilityProficient in Microsoft Office applications.Ready to travel as and when requiredBe willing to work in shifts.How we’ll support you
