Job descriptionSolution Architecture : Design end-to-end architecture for FTS tagging workflows using Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and DataBricks. Data Engineering Leadership : Guide the development of PySpark-based ETL pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing financial data in Azure SQL and Cosmos DB. Tagging Logic Integration : Collaborate with upstream systems to extract and centralise tagging rules from Cirrus, PCMT, and FDS systems Migration Strategy : Lead migration of MySQL-based tagging rules to Cosmos DB using ADF and the Azure Cosmos DB Data Migration Toolkit. Performance Optimisation : Ensure minimal latency and high throughput in data pipelines; monitor and optimise Redis caching and Cosmos DB queries. Governance & Compliance : Implement data governance and master data management practices across the FTS ecosystem Collaboration & Documentation : Work closely with PMs, developers, and business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, document architecture decisions, and support SoW reviews. Cloud & Data Platforms : Azure (ADF, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Data Lake), DataBricks, Cosmos DB, Redis. Programming & Scripting : Python, PySpark, SQL, GitHub Actions. Data Architecture : Experience with Delta Lake, Cosmos DB key-value mappings, and scalable tagging logic frameworks. ETL & Orchestration : Strong grasp of ETL workflows, pipeline monitoring, and orchestration using Azure EventHub / Service Bus. Database Expertise : MySQL, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB; experience in migrating and reconciling data across platforms. Soft Skills : Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation abilities.
