REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY :
- This role requires the ability to engage with the Clients' Marketing Team and Leadership Teams to build and execute strategies / plans that represent a measurable advantage for Clients' innovation and growth agenda. The role also requires strong connection to Academia and other stakeholders / influencers in public affairs to support accomplishment of the objectives.
- The role is intended to build Clients leadership in Public Affairs both externally and internally, broaden external engagement, increase frequency of interaction and develop partnerships, at national, state and local levels. The role will lead the implementation of Market Access and Government Affairs programs in India to secure timely access and appropriate funding to the innovative products and solutions that Clients brings within the Healthcare Journey of the individuals.
- Through dialogues and interactions with institutions, decision-makers, payers and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Authorities and agencies, the Market Access & Public Affairs role engages with key stakeholders in to define the best access pathways and procurement practices within the health care system to benefit individuals and patients, building an innovation-friendly business environment with high ethical standards and in partnership with Authorities.
- The role will implement and execute regional and country specific Market Access & Public Affairs programs in alignment with the Business Units' imperatives in order to secure individuals' access to Clients solutions at optimal conditions and will ensure early input into the access strategy and evidence development in India. Major objectives and strategies will be aligned with APAC / global peers and relevant functions in their Global HQ.
Skills and Ability required :
Detail knowledge of Indian government structures, public policy, legislative processes, and regulatory frameworkWorking knowledge of the healthcare systems and related policies in IndiaKnowledge and experience in health economics and / or health outcomesKnowledge and experience of the health, economic and social issues and trends in IndiaStrong network among government officials, policy makers and payers and an understanding of how things get done within the government departmentsStrong Business AcumenTo-do attitude and sense of urgencyAbility to craft and drive key messages that support Clients strategy and influence stakeholders.Ability to cooperate with different functions and teams inside the Clients organisationAbility to relate and network with key stakeholders inside and outside the company and recommend internal as well as external business solutions,Strong communication skills, oral and written. Minimum Experience Required : 8 to 10 years' experience in market access, government affairs, advocacy and external engagement in the IVD and / or Medical Devices / pharmaceutical industry in India
