General Summary : Job Overview

Qualcomm's QCT Automotive Software team develops next-gen embedded system-on-chip solutions for the Connected Infotainment segment, as part of a global initiative. We seek Software Engineers with expertise in performance analysis and system optimization for upcoming automotive products. As a performance and architecture engineer, you will own or participate in one or more of the following areas :

• Conducting comprehensive architectural analysis and modeling, which includes forecasting CPU / MIPS, bus bandwidth, and memory utilization for both current and next-generation chipsets, to fulfill the increasing demands on processors across various subsystems of the SoC.
• Improve boot time across various operating systems and architectures of different automotive products.
• Expertise in Android framework and OS concepts.
• Optimize kernel parameters for system performance.
• Enhance user experience by resolving stutters and janky frames.
• Reduce application launch and user switch latencies.
• Improve Google Automotive Services performance and run ATS tests on all chipsets.
• Debug system performance issues.
• Develop tools for profiling, validation, and debugging across SOC components.
• Identify benchmarks, set goals, and optimize performance.
• Analyze existing software to recommend improvements for performance and memory utilization.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

8+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.

5+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Understanding of Linux kernel and device drivers and understanding of ARM architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

Good to have the expertise in the following Performance optimization areas :

Education Requirements

Required : Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and / or Electrical Engineering

Preferred : Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering and / or Electrical Engineering.
