Job Title : Senior Data Engineer

Experience : 5+ Years

About the Role :

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, develop, and optimize large-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in BigQuery , Cloud Storage , Cloud Functions , and Cloud SQL , along with a strong understanding of data pipeline architecture and data transformations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using GCP services.
  • Build and optimize data warehouse solutions using BigQuery for analytics and reporting.
  • Implement data ingestion , cleansing , and transformation processes from multiple data sources.
  • Develop and manage Cloud Functions to automate data workflows and system integrations.
  • Utilize GCP Cloud Storage and Cloud SQL for structured and unstructured data management.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality datasets and insights.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all stages of the data lifecycle.
  • Optimize query performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments.

Required Skills & Expertise :

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) components, including :
  • BigQuery
  • Cloud Storage
  • Cloud Functions
  • Cloud SQL
  • Strong knowledge of ETL / ELT pipeline design , data modeling , and data transformation best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL (complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
  • Experience in Python or Java for data processing and automation.
  • Familiarity with translation and data mapping processes is a plus.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, etc.).

    • Good to Have :

  • Knowledge of Dataflow , Pub / Sub , or Composer (Airflow) .
  • Understanding of data governance , metadata management , and data security practices.
  • Exposure to CI / CD pipelines for data deployment automation.

    • Soft Skills :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
