Autodesk is seeking a dedicated and skilled Software Engineer to join our engineering team as a contractor. This role will significantly contribute to Autodesk's Global Trade Compliance program by participating in various software development initiatives.
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and highly talented Software Engineers within this domain.
As a technical expert, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing Global Trade Compliance applications at Autodesk, including Oracle Enterprise Data Quality / Oracle Watchlist Screening (OEDQ / OWS), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Snowflake, and Salesforce.
You will work closely with teams from Trade Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Enterprise Engineering to develop new Trade Compliance features, workflows, and integrations with other enterprise applications.
Responsibilities :
- You will collaborate with various Autodesk teams & stakeholders to design and engineer Global Trade Compliance solutions.
- You will work with business and engineering team members to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- You'll maintain comprehensive technical documentation for the Global Trade Compliance solutions, including system architecture, design, and deployment procedures.
- You will help develop and implement new Trade Compliance features, workflows, and integrations.
- You'll ensure new code follows best security practices.
- As a technical expert for Global Trade Compliance applications, you'll apply engineering best practices and make the right technology selections in delivering system enhancements.
- You will develop Unit Tests; strive to automate testing as much as possible.
- You'll collaborate with QA teams to define testing strategies and conduct Experience writing clean, concise code with comments testing of developed solutions.
- Address and resolve issues identified during testing, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of Global Trade Compliance application.
- Willingness to align partial work hours with US Pacific time zone.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of software development experience in the trade compliance domain.Experience designing, architecting and deploying Export / Trade Compliance solutions.Hands-on experience working with technologies like Oracle Enterprise Data Quality platform / Oracle Watchlist Screening (OEDQ / OWS).Proficiency working with AWS, Oracle Database, SQL Queries, Salesforce, REST / SOAP APIs.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and SQL is a plus.AI / ML, GenAI, Agentic Workflow experience will be an added advantage.(ref : hirist.tech)
