Role Profile for the Project Management Discipline

• The Project Management discipline spans Functional Roles that provide principles, methods, tools, and techniques for effectively managing work as defined in a Statement of Work or Project Definition. Individuals in this discipline are required to estimate a work effort, develop project plans, monitor progress against a plan, adjust resources, and deliver a quality product.
• They balance client expectations against RSMs contractual delivery obligations and manage resulting budget, scope, and schedule issues. As a Team Leader progresses through the ranks to a Senior Program Manager, the projects along the way become more complex and, therefore, more challenging to manage. They may have a larger budget, a longer duration, or a higher degree of risk due to technical implications or the contract features requested by the client.
