Lead Software Architect

We are expanding our engineering leadership team and are looking for a Lead Software Developer / Software Architect to drive backend architecture, API development, and enterprise-grade data ingestion systems.

Role Overview

You will architect and lead the development of backend systems, data pipelines, and cloud-native solutions. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong documentation, design clarity, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Architecture : Design scalable backend systems, APIs, and data ingestion workflows.

API Development : Build RESTful / GraphQL APIs using Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI).

Data Pipelines : Architect ingestion pipelines for structured & unstructured data.

Cloud Engineering : Develop and optimize cloud-native solutions (Azure preferred).

Technical Documentation : Own architecture docs, API contracts, and design specs.

Architecture Diagrams : Create clear diagrams (Lucidchart, Draw.io, Visio).

Performance & Security : Ensure systems meet enterprise scalability and security standards.

DevOps Collaboration : Work with CI / CD, IaC, Docker / Kubernetes.

Team Leadership : Mentor developers, conduct reviews, drive engineering best practices.

Cross-Functional Alignment : Partner with product, data, and business teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI)

Hands-on experience with Azure or other cloud platforms

Expertise in API design , microservices , and data ingestion pipelines

Familiarity with streaming tools : Kafka, Kinesis, Pub / Sub

Strong experience with Docker , Kubernetes , and CI / CD workflows

Solid knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases

Excellent technical documentation and architecture diagramming skills

Experience with Terraform / CloudFormation

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
