Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

Strategic Focus

  • Continuously enhance and refine the Operational Readiness (OR) Framework and Methodology to drive ongoing improvement and embed an Information Technology (IT) OR mindset across all activities.
  • Ensure the scope of Operational Readiness aligns with the organization's strategic direction.
  • Strengthen and streamline IT Change Management processes to support robust and efficient governance.
  • Foster improved relationships with key business stakeholders by providing timely and relevant information, ensuring strong and collaborative partnerships.

Operational Management

  • Proactively identify and address risks related to Operational Readiness.
  • Monitor and track the delivery of operational requirements ahead of go-live dates.
  • Facilitate meetings to define operational handover requirements for system initiatives, incorporating input from technology teams.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly Operational Readiness status reports for ongoing projects.
  • Escalate projects that fail to meet readiness criteria, including recommendations to delay production releases when necessary.
  • Define and implement measurable critical success factors for Operational Readiness execution.
  • Oversee the tools and processes supporting Operational Readiness activities.
  • Provide stakeholders with guidance on change management policies and procedures.
  • Review and assess IT changes across platforms to identify and mitigate potential impacts.
  • Collaborate with change owners to manage enterprise application changes while maintaining service levels.
  • Ensure all Requests for Change are thoroughly tested, documented, resourced, and scheduled appropriately.
  • Escalate changes that do not meet readiness standards, with recommendations to halt production releases when required.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Forward Schedule of Change calendar.
  • Facilitate and, when necessary, chair IT Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
  • Define key metrics and deliver regular performance and status reports.
  • Governance & Risk

  • Comply with all MUFG Retirement Solutions standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure all changes adhere to established IT change management processes.
  • Experience & Personal Attributes

    Experience

  • Overall 12+ years of proven experience in project and systems implementation, including more than 8 years specializing in IT Service Transition and Change Control.
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Operational Readiness requirements, including the management, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of readiness activities.
  • Strong expertise in technical Change Management practices, with a demonstrated track record of executing governance and leading Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes.
  • Recognized for planning and organizing effective, efficient IT service delivery aligned with business goals.
  • ITIL qualifications required :
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate
  • ITIL Service Transition Certificate
  • ITIL Release Control & Validation
  • ITIL Operational Support & Analysis
  • Personal Attributes

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills, fostering collaboration and mutual understanding across diverse teams.
  • Proficient in governing changes through the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and skilled in chairing change meetings with professionalism and clarity.
  • Applies a practical, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving, addressing challenges with efficiency and insight.
  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, effectively navigating situations involving differing perspectives on completeness and next steps.
  • Exhibits a strong sense of accountability and ownership for all IT changes implemented within the organization.
