Your Role

As our one of our Leading Senior Backend Developer , you’ll set the tone for process excellence and code quality across a team of 4–6 developers. You’ll lead by example, establishing a strong testing culture , ensuring requirements are documented before coding begins, and maintaining delivery discipline in our two-week sprint cycles (Linear) and Kanban workflows. You’ll remain hands-on in Golang backend development while guiding your team toward high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead backend development in Golang (event-driven systems, APIs, pipelines).
  • Establish and enforce testing culture (unit, integration, load testing).
  • Ensure requirements documentation is complete and unambiguous before development.
  • Drive quality and delivery discipline in sprint planning (two-week cycles in Linear).
  • Mentor and coach 4–6 developers, ensuring consistent code quality and reviews.
  • Act as a role model for how projects are scoped, tracked, and delivered.
  • Collaborate closely with product and design to align technical execution with business goals.

Requirements

  • 6+ years backend development experience, 3+ years with Golang .
  • Hands-on experience leading teams through process improvements (testing, documentation, delivery discipline).
  • Proven track record working with event-driven architectures at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse).
  • Experience with ADRs and maintaining design documentation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to set the bar for the team.

    • Nice to Have

  • Previous experience as a tech lead in a SaaS or high-growth startup.
  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React / Remix / NextJS) to understand integration points.
