Role Description - Technical Product Manager

The Product Manager responsibilities involve overseeing the product’s lifecycle from a technical perspective, which includes :
Responsibilities :
1. Communicate with stakeholders including product owners and customers to gather feature requirements, feedbacks and translate business-to-technical requirements, and vice versa.
2. Understanding technical requirements as well as risks and ensuring they are clearly defined and aligned with business goals. The technical product manager is expected to take part in technology stack identification. (eg : Front tech, backend stacks, APIs, hosting environments etc).
3. Define and track success metrics, establish KPIs and ensure that they are met on a regular basis.
4. Track user behavior, conduct user testing, and interviews to optimize the product to satisfy the end user expectations and on going basis.
5. Prioritizations feature and establish a roadmap considering latest business requirements, user feedback and technical parameters and timelines.
6. Creating and managing a roadmap taking account for the stakeholder feedback in an iterative manner that reflects the technical & stakeholder requirements and milestones of the product.
7. Regularly communicate with the internal teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations throughout development.
8. Ensure product features are delivering meeting quality, performance and security criterias.
9. Collaborate and facilitate marketing, sales and design functions which could include internal and external teams or organizations.
10. Provide updates, ask questions about the product vision, and ensure everyone is on the same page regarding timelines and task prioritization. Have a clear communication between each of these roles.
11. Conduct market research to find out new market gaps for potential products and find out user stories to better address customer needs. Able to assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage.
12. Organize and implement internal and customer training on how to use the product and answer questions related to the product and its capabilities.
13. Develop and communicate the strategic vision and plan to stakeholders across the company.
14. Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.
15. Providing leadership and guidance, acting as a subject matter expert, and advocating for the product’s vision while making critical decisions to resolve conflicts that may arise.
