Job Description

Key Responsibilities / Duties :

Scrum / Agile Focused

Facilitate and lead the Agile development process, including all Scrum ceremonies such as sprint and PI planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Coach and mentor the Scrum team on Agile practices, promoting self-organization, cross-functionality, and a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

Identify and remove impediments or obstacles that hinder the team's progress, both within the team's control and with external parties.

Facilitate effective decision-making within the team, ensuring decisions are made in line with Agile principles and the Scrum framework.

Promote and support Agile best practices such as continuous integration, test-driven development, and other relevant practices that enhance the team's efficiency and productivity.

Lead the team in regular retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance the team's effectiveness and delivery capabilities.

Work closely with RTEs, ensuring the smooth functioning of Agile practices at the team and program level.

Partners with others in the Agile community (Scrum Masters, APMs and Agile Coaches) to drive technology-focused teams towards achieving Agile principles.

Project Management Focused

Plan, manage, and oversee the delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines and budgets.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, include scope, schedule, resource allocation, risk management and stakeholder communication.

Track project progress and performance using appropriate tools and techniques, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.

Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage dependencies across multiple workstreams or initiatives.

Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating when necessary to ensure successful delivery.

Work Experience :

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role, preferably in a fast-paced and collaborative global environment.

Experience with Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools (JIRA, ServiceNow) preferred.

Experience facilitating scrum ceremonies :

Backlog refinements

Sprint planning

Daily stand ups

Retrospectives

PI Planning

Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end project delivery.

Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies and how they complement Agile practices.

Ability to balance Agile team facilitation with traditional project oversight and stakeholder management.

Formal Education :

Bachelor's degree or higher in IT related program (or equivalent qualification) is preferred.

Certified Scrum Master highly desirable

SAFe Scaled Agile Certification highly desirable

PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or equivalent desirable.
