Job description

Role Overview :

The Supply Chain Finance Lead / Head will provide strategic financial leadership across procurement, warehouse, and logistics operations. Beyond traditional finance functions, this role is a hands-on business partner driving cost efficiency, optimizing working capital, enhancing financial controls, and enabling data-driven strategic decisions as Kare scales its supply chain capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Leadership

  • Own end-to-end financial planning, budgeting, and analysis for supply chain functions including procurement, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Support business leaders with insightful cost-benefit analysis and actionable financial insights to drive decision-making.
  • Lead financial modeling and scenario analysis aligned with growth and operational strategies.

Cost & Process Optimization

  • Identify, develop, and implement cost-saving initiatives across sourcing, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with operations to streamline processes, improve productivity, and reduce inefficiencies through data analytics and technology.

    • Working Capital Management

  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels, supplier / vendor payment terms, and credit cycles to maximize cash flow.
  • Develop reliable cash flow forecasts and maintain disciplined financial management practices throughout the entire supply chain to ensure smooth liquidity and operational efficiency.

    • Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Design and maintain dashboards for key supply chain KPIs (inventory turns, logistics costs, warehouse efficiency, etc.).
  • Deliver accurate financial reporting, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations to leadership.

    • Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, audits, and statutory regulations.
  • Proactively identify financial risks related to supplier dependency, cost escalations, and credit exposure, and develop mitigation plans.

    • Technology & Analytics

  • Leverage SAP, financial modeling tools, and analytics platforms to enhance financial visibility and decision support.

    • Collaboration & Team Leadership

  • Partner closely with procurement, operations, and corporate teams to align financial goals with operational objectives.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a finance team capable of scaling with Kare’s growth while promoting a culture of collaboration and accountability.

    • Qualifications & Skills :

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA in Finance, or an equivalent finance qualification.
  • 7+ years of finance experience. 3–5 years in supply chain finance roles is preferable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Proficiency in SAP or any ERP systems, financial analytics, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive financial discipline in a growing, lean organization.
  • Knowledge of risk management practices related to supply chain finance.
