The Opportunity

Location : Remote

Experience : 0-2 years

Nature of Employment : Contract

As a Reality TV writer, your role will involve creating engaging content focused on US based Reality shows.

General understanding of all mainstream US Centric reality TV shows is a must. The candidate must also have a good knowledge base of the following shows - Big Brother, Love Island, RHOA, 90 Days Fiance, and Below Deck.

You must be an active follower of all mainstream Reality TV shows based in the USA and be willing & capable to write in depth articles on the same. Ability to come with unique angles and identify rising trends is also a must.

Key Responsibilities :

Write 4-5 articles a day.

Review reality TV shows (thorough research skills mandatory).

Monitor day-to-day controversies and news centering on the shows, keep tabs on social media trends, and become familiar with Google Trends.

Pitch interesting story ideas.

Open to feedback from the editorial team.

Able to meet deadlines, available for real-time coverage of off-field angles when they’re pushed out.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in English / Journalism / Mass communication is preferred.

Has at least 2 years of experience in entertainment reporting.

Understands industry terms and has previous success in breaking entertainment reporting.

Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
