PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Role Overview

We are hiring experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrators (DBAs) for one of our clients, a leading global technology company . The role involves providing BAU support, performance tuning, and maintenance for PostgreSQL environments while ensuring database availability, security, and reliability. The candidate will also collaborate closely with engineering teams to support feature development and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide BAU PostgreSQL support across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) .
• Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL databases in alignment with SLAs.
• Implement and manage high availability (HA) , clustering , and replication using Patroni .
• Manage backup and recovery operations leveraging pgBackRest .
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and database issues .
• Ensure Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness and compliance with security policies.
• Partner with automation engineers to support Ansible-based deployments .
• Support a seamless transition from current support arrangements
