Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (Congress) are looking for GP locums for their Mutitjulu clinic. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in indigenous health with Uluru as the back drop to your clinic.
Mutitjulu is the name of the small Aboriginal community located inside the boundary of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, in the shadow of Uluru, and named after the Mutitjulu waterhole located at the base of Uluru.
Congress has expanded to become the largest Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation in the Northern Territory, providing a comprehensive, holistic and culturally-appropriate primary health care service to Aboriginal people living in and nearby Alice Springs, including five remote communities.
The Clinic
Mutijulu Clinic provides services including primary health care, on-call emergency (on call services provided by nurses), women’s health, midwife, mental health, obstetrics and gynaecology. The health centre also receives regular visits from a range of specialists.
