Requirement Summary
We have received a request from a sports development and promotion authority to identify a qualified expert for a full-time, short-term engagement to serve as a Corporate Governance Manager. The expert will be embedded within the organization's Governance function and will work closely with senior leadership to strengthen corporate governance structures, frameworks, and documentation across the authority and its subsidiaries.
Scope and Focus Areas
The resource will work closely with the Governance Director and support the following areas :
- Development and updating of corporate governance policies.
- Support in drafting Policies, Procedures, SOPs, and operational manuals for key business functions (e.g., sports club operations).
- Reviewing and enhancing the Delegation of Authority (DoA) at both board and operational levels.
- Designing governance frameworks based on best and advanced practices that will lead to improved and enhanced operating models within the company and its affiliated entities (e.g., frameworks and playbooks for subsidiary management and investment incubation processes).
- Supporting the formation and documentation of governance committees and related charters.
- Contributing to training and awareness efforts across the organization.
Required Profile
The ideal candidate should possess :
7-12 years of relevant experience in governance, operational excellence, and policy development.Experience with Saudi Arabia's Companies Law and related corporate governance practices.Preferred experience in the sports and entertainment industry.A strong background in drafting governance-related documentation (SOPs, manuals, policies).Solid understanding of governance frameworks and regulatory practices within the Saudi context.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic preferred).Strong organizational and documentation skills.This role would require extensive travel to Riyadh.THIS IS A CONTRACTUAL ROLE.
