Position Title : Sr. Public Relations Manager - BFSI

Overview :
This Senior Manager–level role is a critical position for AVIAN We. The individual will work closely with the Practice Lead to grow the agency’s portfolio within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) sector. The role shares the responsibility of strengthening existing client relationships and driving new business opportunities in the BFSI market. This position will act as the second in line to the Sector Lead.
Job Functions
- Manage and grow senior-level client relationships to ensure alignment across stakeholders by negotiating and managing client expectations and satisfaction.
- Develop and execute integrated communication plans for BFSI clients , tailored to the financial industry’s regulatory and market landscape.
- Provide strategic counsel to key BFSI clients and serve as a trusted advisor on industry issues, trends, and competitors.
- Inform, educate, and influence existing and potential clients on Avian’s value proposition and how it stands against competing agencies within the BFSI domain.
- Build awareness and showcase capabilities, talent, and business results internally and externally.
- Manage senior-level media relationships, especially with financial and business media, and work on complex BFSI narratives and story development.
- Serve as project manager in preparing and delivering organic growth and new business proposals, including pitch content and in-person presentations.
- Share industry POV with a strong understanding of shifts, challenges, and opportunities in the evolving BFSI communication landscape.
- Represent clients at key BFSI events, conferences, or summits, managing proactive communication around these engagements.
- Identify global, digital, and social communications trends relevant to BFSI and help educate clients / teams on the importance of multi-platform engagement.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact with BFSI clients and proactively engage on emerging issues or opportunities.
- Participate in budget and resource planning, ensuring efficient team utilization.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations that influence business decisions and outcomes. Build collaborative relationships with AVIAN We. colleagues and partners to ensure seamless delivery.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in processes / tech to improve operational effectiveness.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to act on plans, and manage challenges with minimal support.
- Apply analytical and quantitative skills to financial and communication data sets to identify patterns and recommend actionable strategies.
