Assistant Manager - Fundraising and Donor Engagement

Sarthak Foundation started with the belief that no child should be left behind for being born in economic and social disadvantage. We undertake very long term and deep interventions towards education, social-emotional wellbeing and job readiness of marginalised children, so that they can break out of abject poverty. Key Responsibilities: This role involves managing the existing donor relationships and cultivating new ones. A typical work week for you may entail some of the following activities:

● Calling for generating leads and raising funds

● Sifting the internet for funding opportunities

● Writing a grant application for a project on improving the self-advocacy skills of young girls

● Attending a reporting and strategy meeting with the head of the department and the president of the foundation

● Calling existing high-net-worth individual donors to catch up with them, share updates or set up video calls with children

● Meeting the philanthropists and making a presentation about our work

● Updating your workplan and donor related databases

You are the ideal candidate if:

● The idea that your work helps make things better excites you

● You have 3 to 7 years of experience, preferably in fundraising, communications or writing.

● You take your work seriously and can work independently

● You have excellent spoken and written English and Hindi

● You exude maturity and calmness and like interacting with people

● You are a team player and enjoy working in a collegial and collaborative work environment

● You either live in Lucknow or and can relocate to Lucknow quickly.
